How to measure your ring size at home
Three reliable methods to find your perfect ring size without visiting a jeweler — plus tips for getting it right.

Before you start
Fingers are largest in the evening and after physical activity, smallest in the morning and cold weather. Measure in the evening at a normal temperature for the most accurate result. Your dominant hand is typically slightly larger.
If you’re between sizes, go up. Sizing down is easier than sizing up. Mercury & Sol offers complimentary first resizing within 90 days of delivery.
Method 1: The string method
Wrap a thin string or paper strip around the finger. Mark the overlap point, lay flat, and measure in millimeters. Match to the size chart below.
Method 2: Existing ring
Place a well-fitting ring on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimeters. Match to the chart below.
Method 3: Printable sizer
Download our printable ring sizer from the Ring Size Guide page. Print at exactly 100% scale, cut out, and wrap around your finger.
